likeable-blog-1000-1xWhile I’ve been busy with the Malaysia project, Every Day Adventures in Asia (Mostly!) crossed the 1,000 comments (and likes) threshold!

That friends, family and complete strangers take the trouble to read AND share their thoughts too – I am most appreciative – truly!

There is only one request – keep doing it!

  2. As long as you’re OK with vacuous, we’ll keep going 🙂

I won’t do vacuous, for once. I’ve actually got a serious question. I blogged today about ignoring Indian literature when I was in Bangalore, preferring to read books about London. But I did read one book about India – “Behind the Beautiful Forevers” by Katherine Boo. Have you read it? What did you think of it?

    • Believe it or not – no!

Lately most of the “Indian literature” I read are books written by friends. Feel rather churlish showing up for their book launches, getting their book and then ignoring it! I have 3 such books simultaneously on the go at the moment. However will finish only when back in India as a bag of books has thankfully been replaced by my kindle when traveling 😉

Will check this one out when back tho! Curious what brought it to your mind?

A friend recommended the book to me, so I felt obliged to read it and report back to her. I’m glad I did- it’s a very moving portrayal of life in a Mumbai slum by an American journalist.

    I’m not surprised 🙂 congratulations!

  5. That’s a big one! Congratulations!
